Took the car for a few laps (about seven miles) around the shop, high rpm \/ wide open throttle driving getting into boost repeatedly saw oil temps stay under 221*, at a ~70F ambient temperature night. I tried hard, but could NOT get the car to get any hotter!Extended (40-45 minute) freeway driving in about 70-75*F at 70-75mph saw oil temps in the 189-191* mark.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eDriving around the track was a blast, the first 2 laps were used to warm up the Yokohoma Slicks, and then the rest of the session we opened the car up, hanging out with the usual 991 Porsches and GTRs. As hard as I could try, I could not get the oil temps past 255-257*F in ~75*F ambient weather. That is even with the heat switched off!\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFor those who haven't been following, we have tracked the car many times this year, from rainy sessions in January to hot sessions in the middle of the summer. Oil temperatures regularly hung out at about 270*, sometimes reaching 275-277* before we had to back off, even with the heat on full blast on a hot day. Depending on outside temps, that would be about 2 laps in after warming up the tires before the oil temp would hit the 275 mark, we'd back off for a lap to get down to 260, another hard lap back to 275, back off, etc.\u003cbr\u003eToday was just hard laps, no backing off!
