The culmination of the 2nd collaboration between iABED & Fluidampr. We are proud to introduce the 1st universal viscous torsional damper that has been designed and engineered to work on all EA888 engines ranging from 2006 until present.

Key features include:

  • Decreased Flywheel & Gearbox clatter (Especially with 0A6/02Q gearbox). Flywheel clatter can be heard when converting from the OEM dual mass flywheel to a single mass flywheel (whether steel or aluminum).
  • RPM drop reduction.
  • Engine vibration reduction. Extremely critical with impulse wheel bolts coming loose in high horsepower 1.8Ts.
  • Sized for an OEM replacement. Does not overdrive or underdrive the accessories.
  • Steel construction with Black Zinc plating to combat oxidation.
  • Depending on the turbocharger setup, gains can be from as low as 3whp/4lb-ft of torque to as high as 29whp/40lb-ft of torque.
  • SFI 18.1 certified.
  • ISO 9001:2008 certified.

Special notes: One of the key aspects of the 551231 is the 4-bolt auxiliary hub drive for a dry sump oil pump, external wet sump oil pump, or even a 60-2 impulse wheel for those wanting to run standalone.
