VW827 "ABF Style" Adjustable alternator Kit

iABED has been proudly supplying the “ABF Style” adjustable alternator kit for over 2 decades first offering these kits in 2005. Over the years we have revised the product offering to make it easier for enthusiast to either piece together there own kit or purchase an all in one kit from us. This will be the final iteration of the bracket as we make way for our own in house product offering with a modular design to tackle to modern enthusiasts concerns (A/C , power steering , etc).

About the kit:
The ABF engine never arrived on North American shores, making "ABF" engine components highly sought after by enthusiasts. In 2005, iABED Industries took on the challenge of securing the VW827 Non-AC alternator setup, manufacturing any unavailable components in-house. Since then, we have supplied over 1500 VW827 Non-AC alternator kits (commonly known as ABF kits) to enthusiasts worldwide. Our setup bolts up to practically any VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda pre-1999 water-cooled VW827 4-cylinder engine block.

The $229.00 Price is for just the bracket. We have made it easy for you to select the various options you wish to purchase.

Key Features Include:

• Adjustable serpentine belt setup that eliminates the need for external belt tensioners.
• Adjustable arm integrated into the alternator housing for tensioning.
• Positions the alternator low enough to clear ITBs (Individual throttle bodies) on 8V crossflow and 16V setups.

Compatible Engine Codes:

• ABA, ABF, 2E, JH, PG, PL, 6A, 9A, KR, AEB, ADR, AJL, and others.

Previous versions of the kit used the ABA crankshaft accessory pulley (037105243A) with rear machining for 16V engines. Since this part is no longer available, we now use the 1.8T 20V 06A crankshaft accessory pulley and supply a spacer to bring the pulleys into the same plane. 8V engines require a 12.2mm spacer, and 16V engines require a 6.2mm spacer. Please select your engine when ordering.
