The S7-Plus ECU offers an extremely high level of precise engine management control. The triple processor unit uses a high speed RISC processor for code execution and an additional large FPGA for high speed engine position tracking, allowing the scheduling of code to be independent of signal patterns, increasing flexibility, efficiency and accuracy under transient conditions. This powerful combination also allows advanced control algorithms but yet easy to map for the end user still using our SCal software and S7 Firmware.

Designed to cater for PnP kits where clients also need the programmable CAN Bus and Drive-By-Wire support offered by the S7-Plus.

The third processor present is available for in the future users to write their own code in C for Full Vehicle Integration via Canbus and Build some custom strategies to handle some of the unique requirements which are now found in OEM Applications. Currently only Syvecs staff can do this but we are working on offering this out to all our dealers very soon!

Syvecs S7 Plus ECU buyer guide

Match S7 Plus to the sensor and actuator list rather than a model-number hierarchy. Syvecs lists 22 general-purpose analogue inputs, 16 low-side injection/PWM outputs, 8 half-bridge outputs and 6 ignition drivers.

S7 Plus versus S8C and S12

The S8 specification used by our S8C listing has more analogue inputs and ignition drivers, but fewer half-bridge outputs than S7 Plus. Neither output mix is universally better. S12 offers a different allocation, including 12 ignition outputs and 24 fuel-injector outputs, for builds that need those channel types.

Direct-injection control and paddle-shift control are optional S7 Plus software upgrades. DI also requires a compatible injector-driver solution and application-specific wiring and calibration; a software option does not turn a conventional injector output into a DI power driver.

OEX is a separate option for expanding an existing master ECU, not an interchangeable standalone ECU.

Syvecs S7 Plus FAQ

Is the Syvecs S7 Plus a standalone ECU?

Yes. S7 Plus is a standalone engine-management ECU. Confirm the hardware, software options and wiring for the intended application.

How much does a Syvecs ECU cost?

Compare the current product price with the complete installation cost, including required software, driver modules, harnesses, sensors and calibration.

When should I compare S7 Plus with S8C or S12?

Compare the channel types and control requirements before ordering. S8C has a different I/O mix, not a universal capability advantage; S12 may suit a larger ignition and injector channel allocation.

Need to compare the options? Read our Syvecs ECU buyer guide for channel types, direct-injection requirements and installation costs.
