Syvecs S8C Generic ECU
Syvecs S8C Generic ECU
The S8 ECU offers an extremely high level of precise engine management control.
The twin processor unit uses a high speed RISC processor for code execution and an additional large FPGA for high speed engine position tracking, allowing the scheduling of code to be independent of signal patterns, increasing flexibility, efficiency and accuracy under transient conditions. This powerful combination also allows advanced control algorithms but allowing it to be easy to map for the end user.

Syvecs S8C standalone ECU guide
This S8C listing uses Syvecs' published S8 hardware specification: 24 general-purpose analogue inputs, 16 low-side injection/PWM outputs, 4 half-bridge outputs and 8 ignition drivers. Confirm the supplied hardware version and options before ordering.
S8C versus S7 Plus
The listed S8C has more analogue inputs and ignition drivers than S7 Plus, but fewer half-bridge outputs. Compare the actual channel allocation, connector and wiring plan, CAN interfaces and logging requirements instead of assuming either ECU is a universal upgrade.
Syvecs lists direct-injection and paddle-shift control as optional S8 software upgrades. For DI, confirm the compatible injector-driver hardware and application support as well as the required software.

Syvecs S8C FAQ
What should I check before choosing S8C?
Check the sensor-input types, ignition and injector outputs, actuator drivers, CAN communication, wiring and software options against the build requirements.
Is S8C better than S7 Plus?
Not universally. The published S8 specification has more analogue inputs and ignition drivers, while S7 Plus has more half-bridge outputs. The right choice depends on the required channel types and configuration.
Does DrivenByWire sell supporting Syvecs accessories?
Yes. Browse the Syvecs collection for displays, expanders, power-distribution hardware and other electronics, and confirm each device's compatibility with the planned system.
